What is an Airpark?:

Most individuals are familiar with the success of golf course communities. The airport community has a more narrow focus but the interest among aviation enthusiasts is as high as with golf enthusiasts. If you are not familiar with airparks and love airplanes we have a story to tell you.

An airpark is a residential community based around a runway. This is similar to waterfront homes where your boat is tied to the dock in your back yard, or living on a golf course. There are currently about 700 to 800 airparks across the US typically ranging from communities of 1 up to several hundred residents. One of the most comprehensive places to gather information about airparks is by joining the Living with your Plane organization.
